Game Preview: 2026 Regular Season Game 25 vs Indiana Fever

Date, Time, and Location: Wednesday, July 15th, 5:00pm, Gainbridge Fieldhouse (Indianapolis)
Broadcast Information: KPIX (San Francisco Bay Area) and KOVR (Sacramento Area) and KION (Monterey Bay Area), WTHR and Fever Direct (opposition’s broadcast area), USA (full national)

The Golden State Valkyries finish a long road trip on Wednesday when they face the Indiana Fever. This will be the last meeting between the teams as they split their two previous matchups with the home team winning each time. Each team enters the game on a winning streak with the Fever just returning from their own road trip. Both teams will have their local area broadcasts, but outside of those markets, only subscribers to USA Network will be able to view the game as it has no standalone direct-to-consumer product.

The Valkyries

Gabby Williams is listed as questionable on the initial injury report. If she is not available, keeping the same starting lineup as the last game makes sense in an effort to start with as much perimeter defense as possible. Kaila Charles was in the starting lineup the other times that the teams met. That was also the game where Juste Jocyte ended up playing significant minutes in the second half to help secure the win in what was thought to be the start of her building a role in the rotation.

The Opposition

Indiana just finished a successful road trip across the country with three wins out of four games, including a pair of victories over Las Vegas that included a decisive margin on Sunday. They had dropped to an even record twice after their loss in San Francisco, but are 9-4 since then. The team has not brought in any new players since then, only losing developmental player Justine Pissott when they opted not to match Las Vegas’s contract offer to her.

There is only one player on their initial injury report as Caitlin Clark continues to be listed for every game, being set at probable again. Myisha Hines-Allen missed the last game for family reasons, but is expected to play in this game. They tightened their rotation and played some smallball lineups in her absence with her return as they have made lots of changes to their minutes distribution. Tyasha Harris, who only played limited minutes in the games against the Valkyries, has become their primary backup guard.
