Schio started the finals in Italy last Friday by hosting Reyer Venezia and trailed in the first half, but used a strong second half to win 72-62. Janelle Salaun had 11 points and 5 rebounds in 31 minutes. They hosted again last Sunday and had a late comeback to force overtime, winning 86-79. Salaun had 16 points and 7 rebounds after playing a game high 42 minutes. Thursday was the day they could win the championship in a sweep, but Reyer built a lead in the second half for a 67-57 win as Salaun had 12 points in 33 minutes. They looked ready to clinch on Saturday, but Reyer won again 73-67 as Salaun had 16 points and 5 rebounds in 34 minutes to set up a deciding game on Tuesday. Schio used a fast start to win that game 73-61 and Salaun had 11 points and 8 rebounds in 28 minutes to win MVP honors.
