Brno did pull off an upset at this stage of the playoffs last year, but despite erasing an early deficit and playing close at home on Tuesday, they lost to USK Prague 82-75. Elissa Cunane had 8 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists in 30 minutes. They needed a win on the road on Friday to extend the season, but fell to the European champions 83-52. Cunane had 8 points in 35 minutes as she now has to make her way to training camp as soon as possible.

Juste Jocyte

Lyon trailed by a single point for Game 2 of the quarterfinals in France on Wednesday, but lost 69-61 to Landes to be eliminated 138-129. Juste Jocyte had 11 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in 37 minutes. She has not signed with the Valkyries as it is unclear what she or the team have planned this year with her desire to play for Lithuania’s national team also in play.

Carla Leite

After securing their spot in the top division for next season, Villeneuve-d’Ascq let their WNBA players leave the team early before their game on Wednesday. Carla Leite is now free to report to training camp and was let out of her contract with five games to go as she is headed to Zaragoza in Spain for the next European season.

Janelle Salaun

Schio was looking to advance to the finals with a sweep, but got quite a test from San Martino di Lupari on Wednesday before getting a 53-50 win. Janelle Salaun had 8 points and 5 rebounds in 25 minutes. The finals start in a week and will end no earlier than the 8th as she is the last player under contract to still have her season going at the start of training camp.

Chloe Bibby and Migna Toure

Before Girona started the playoffs in the Spanish league on Thursday, the team announced that Chloe Bibby was exercising a clause in her contract that would allow her to leave for the WNBA since they had clinched a spot in next season’s EuroLeague by virtue of finishing first in the regular season. She is set to return to the team in the fall. The team also announced that Migna Toure was allowed to leave early despite not having a similar clause in her contract.
