Brno played their first game since Elissa Cunane signed for the Valkyries, returning to Czech league play from the international break on Wednesday with an 84-69 win over Trutnov. The team was scheduled to finish the regular season on Sunday, but the illnesses that limited their lineup in the previous game did not clear up and they decided not to try to play USK Prague.

Cukurova returned to Turkish league play on Wednesday after the international break and defeated Tarsus 77-66. Iliana Rupert had 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists in 34 minutes. They also played on Saturday, getting a 65-57 win over Orman with 11 points and 9 rebounds from Rupert in 24 minutes.

Galatasaray’s first game in the Turkish league after the international break was on Thursday as they defeated Nesibe Aydin 97-73. Cecilia Zandalasini was rested as they filled three of the foreign player spots with people who had not played for their national teams, but Julie Vanloo had 6 points and 9 assists in 24 minutes. There could have been three players selected by the Valkyries playing on Sunday, but Zandalasini was not in the lineup again and Temi Fagbenle also missed the game for Besiktas, which won 80-74. Vanloo had 17 points and 5 assists in 33 minutes.
Chloe Bibby
Girona returned to play in the Spanish league after the international break, defeating last place Ardoi 86-62. Chloe Bibby played her first game since signing for Golden State, scoring 13 points in 21 minutes. The team played again on Sunday with the winner moving into first place, but they lost to Valencia 88-80 despite Bibby’s game highs of 21 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes.

Kyara Linskens
After the international break, Kyara Linskens returned to her club team for the first time since signing a WNBA contract. She is playing for Dynamo Kursk in Russia and they lost 72-52 to Nika Syktyvkar on Thursday with Linskens providing 6 points and 4 rebounds in 11 minutes. She was not in the lineup for their 78-75 loss to Enisey Krasnoyarsk on Monday.

Janelle Salaun
After the international break, Janelle Salaun returned to her club team Schio as they were trying to win the Italian Cup as one of the powerhouse teams in the league. They won Friday’s semifinal against Magnolia Campobasso 82-73 with 14 points and 7 rebounds in 29 minutes from Salaun. The final on Sunday was against Reyer Venezia, who they are also competing with for the league title, and they managed to grind out a 54-45 win for their fifth cup title in a row as Salaun had 2 points and 7 rebounds in 31 minutes.

The Perth Lynx finished the regular season on Sunday with the winner of their game against the Townsville Fire getting homecourt advantage when the teams square off again in the semifinals. Kayla Thornton
No longer under contract with an overseas team, Kayla Thornton was able to head to the Bay Area early to play in the All Star Celebrity Game in Oakland on Friday. She suited up for Jerry Rice’s team, which lost to Barry Bonds’s team 66-55.
