WPBA Week 6 Recap

After taking a week off from league play for the All Star festivities, the regular season resumed on Saturday with two more Saturdays to go. A couple of other big names made their debuts this week as teams prepare for the playoffs. The premiere of the Town Takes World documentary, which had been scheduled for this week, will now take place on August 15th instead.

Wolves 103 Reign 59

The day started with the Wolves combo of Rebecca Harris and IImar’I Thomas leading them to a 103-59 win over the Reign. Destiny Samuel led the way in the loss as they faced a tough task with only six players playing.

Andriana Avent had an unbelievable shooting display for the Swish as they moved to the top of the group still chasing the teams trying to secure first place. Angel Jackson, who returned to the Bay Area after stops in Italy and Mexico following her college career and getting a chance in the WNBA, could make the difference for them down the stretch after a strong debut.
