WPBA Week 7 Recap

The round-robin finished on Saturday with another full round of games. The regular season concludes next Saturday with every team playing the same team that they faced on opening day and then the playoffs will begin.

Riptide 84 Royals 79

The day started off with an excellent game that saw the Riptide lead for almost all of the game to get the 84-79 win over the Royals. Abby Cooper had a fantastic game in the win while Salimatou Kourouma was great in the loss with the Royals missing their key guard.

Swish 68 Reign 55

Two teams battling for the playoffs met next and Angel Jackson was at her best for the Swish in a 68-55 win. Crystal Primm led the Reign again as they fell further back in the pack ahead of what should be an exciting final day.

Phoenix 74 Blaze 63

The next game was a battle at the top of the standings and the Phoenix made a late surge to stay undefeated with a 74-63 win. The Blaze will have to regroup quickly with a tough matchup in the final game too as they start getting ready for their title defense in the playoffs.

Titans 77 Wolves 72

A great day of games ended with a big shocker when the Titans picked up their first win of the season 77-72 over the Wolves. Zhane Duckett and Brandy Huffhines teamed up to help get the win while IImar’I Thomas had a good game in the loss. Ashlyn Wolf made her season debut in the win while the Wolves were able to add a Northern California native with significant overseas experience for the stretch run in Megan Kritscher after she has spent time as a college assistant coach.
