The Golden State Valkyries have another home game on Thursday when they host the Indiana Fever. The teams met last week in Indianapolis with the Fever having not played any games since then. After that loss, the Valkyries will be hoping that the momentum from a win and the advantage of having a home crowd will lead to a different result this time. The game will be carried nationally on Prime Video with no local broadcast options.
The Valkyries
There were no injuries to report on the Valkyries end, giving them two more players available than in their last game against the Fever. As was the case on Monday, that should mean that Cecilia Zandalasini sees time early, while it is less clear how much of a role Juste Jocyte will have in a close game. Golden State tried out their smaller lineup extensively against Indiana last week and also played it some against Connecticut so it could be tried again in the right matchups.
The Opposition
As was the case last week, Caitlin Clark is listed on the injury report again as probable with the same back issues. Given the controversy of her missing a game due to her back despite not appearing on the injury report, it seems likely that she will continue to be listed even if she is almost certainly going to play. Bree Hall did not appear against her former team last week and she is also listed as probable to be available for the game due to illness even if Indiana does not opt to use one of the developmental player spots on her for this game.
