The Spanish league playoffs started on Thursday with Game 1 of the quarterfinals. The format is a two-game series so either contest can end in a tie and that is what happened with Girona and Leganes finishing even at 82 as Juste Jocyte had 19 points in 33 minutes. The result meant that whoever won Game 2 would advance and she had 15 points in 26 minutes in an 89-63 win.
